Weed — Weed (1971)
Another Ken Hensley’s ‘contract’ project in which he was involved as a songwriter and lyricist, as well as a vocalist, guitarist and keyboard player. Ken was not credited as songwriter (B. Albes was credited instead). The album was recorded in March 1971 at Windrose-Dumont Time Studio and released same year by Philips.
For fans interested in Ken Hensley’s early works this album demonstrates another phase of Ken’s development as a musician and songwriter. Prior to the reissue on the CD, “Weed” was one of the rarest albums included in the Hensley’s discography, and the price of the vinyl version, as remembered by collectors, was at that time incredibly high.
